Welcome to the first week of the Summer term! This term we will be learning all about plants! We will be talking about the names of parts of plants, how they grow, what plants need and more!

Here are some nouns, verbs and adjectives all about plants. Try to find some photos of these words on the internet.

Watch this PowerPoint to see the different parts of a plant and what they are used for. Look out for a new word 'Anther'. This is a strange word but it is very important for plants. Can you explain why after you look at the Powerpoint?

Understanding the World Challenge of the week!!!

The challenge of the week this week is to take a photo of a plant in your garden, house or street and send it to me!

If you want to tell me about the plant then that is fine too. You can ask a grown up to type what you have said in the email. You might get a shout out from Mr Stone in the Monday assembly on YouTube!
