6 F

Welcome to 6F!

In 6F we swim not sink! Every day we need to bring our best learning attitudes to school!

SATS mock tests went well! Keep revising!

Kingswood trip is around the corner!

Please come and speak to a member of staff in Year Six if you have any questions regarding the visit!

Warning Zone!

An extremely beneficial trip for the Year six children. We learnt a great deal and furthered our experiences by writing recounts on the event!
Come and ask us all about it!

Parent's Evening

Parent's Evening is Thursday 8th March. Please ensure that you have booked an appointment. This is the last parent's evening before the end of Key Stage tests - it would be great to see you all!

Useful information:

  • We have PE on Mondays and Wednesdays; please make sure you have your PE kit in school on those days.

  • Everyone is expected to wear a full, proper school uniform to school every day

  • The school day begins at 8:45; please make sure you are here on time every day to begin learning with the rest of your class.

Spring Term

In English we have been studying the Highwayman poem by Alfred Noyes. We have linked this to our reading strategies and have visualised what we think the highwayman might have looked like. We will be writing newspaper reports about a vicious attack next week - watch this space for more updates!

We are currently learning about metric measures and its value in everyday life. So far this week we have converted between units of measure and also considered when metric and imperial units are used.

Year 6 are investigating how to keep themselves healthy - why don't you ask us how the human heart works? Or what impact smoking has on the lungs? Very soon we will be creating our own recipes for a balanced meal including the right amounts of carbohydrates, protein and fat. Delicious!
