Welcome to 5C!

Year 5 trip to the National Space Centre

In History, we are now learning about the Vikings. We have been looking at where the Vikings came from, how they traveled to England and what they did when they arrived.

We now know that the first raid was at a monastery called Lindisfarne. The Vikings were vicious warriors who raiding using a hit-and-run type attack. They looted and destroyed Lindisfarne, which shocked the country.

Monks believed that the attacks were due to the pagans still living in England. They also believed there had been warning signs such as: lightening strikes, whirlpools and fire breathing dragons.

5C are currently working towards their Art Award. As part of this award, we needed to research a musician. We chose Adriano Adewale - the musician who helped us compose our song "Life is Moving" and perform at The Y Theatre.
