We have P.E. on a Monday and Friday morning.
Our spelling test is on a Thursday, and new spellings are given out on the same day.
Every other Thursday, we have a times tables test.
Each child will have their own reading book to take home to read to an adult. We expect children to read every night to an adult. Children should change their books at least once a week by popping their books in the green basket in their classroom.
Children should also be completing one piece of homework from the homework menu every two weeks.
What fun we had making our very own towers! We have been working very hard this term on our team building skills. In DT, we worked in a small group to design and build a tower made form spaghetti and marshmellows. It was tricky but we had great fun!
In our English unit of work, we have been learning all about instructions! We have been reading the book, How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth to help us understand and write instructions. This week we have been focusing on imperative verbs and prepositions. We had a go at washing up toys using different equipment to understand the importance of using imperative verbs and prepositions. We got rather messy!
In our Art lessons we have been learning all about cave art! This week we practised using charcoal and drawing our very own versions of cave art.
