5/6S

Welcome to 56S! smiley

During Design and Technology week, the children designed and created a sample t-shirt. They also went round to different classes to see what other work had been created throughout the school. Take a look below.

Year 5 and 6 have been taking part in Team Building Activities. Take a look at the pictures below!

In maths, Year 5 followed a recipe in which all of the ingredients were fractions. They had to work out the fractions to get the ingredients and then work together to make the cake.

Year 5 did an Assembly all about World Book Day! They all worked really hard to learn their lines and the songs.

Here are the pictures from when we visited the Guild Hall. We learned a lot about the Tudors!

In Year 5 we have been studying the book: There's a boy in the girls bathroom by Louis Sachar. Today the children had their pictures taken, pretending to be the main character of the book, Bradley Chalkers. As a class they decided what Bradley desk should look like and how to act like Bradley.

See below!

Today we started our Electricity topic by imagining there had been a Storm at the school which had cut the power. The children then had to create electrical circuits to bring back the power. They also had to create messages using only their circuits, which included a bulb.

Why not have a go a creating your own story using the website below. There are 3 different types of stories to choose from.
BBC Bitesize is a great website to learn something new and practise what we have been learning at school.
