5/6C

Welcome to 56C!

Goodbye and Good Luck!

Goodbye 56C

2015-2016.

I wish you the best of luck for the future and I will miss you all!

From Miss Challis

Road's End- A Short by Bri Meyer

Who is this mysterious man in goggles and a red scarf and what has happened to him? We are left to decide this for ourselves as the short film begins and he is inspecting the wreckage of a car, as a viewer we assume that he has survived a car crash. Help is at hand in the form of a friendly driver who stops and offers him a lift.

We soon realise that all is not as it seems and so does the driver. But is it too late?

He looks into the goggles of his passenger and sees himself in the reflection. It is not a pleasant view of the future... and unluckily for this poor soul it comes true.

Year 5 Maths

Year 5 have been working hard at problem solving this week in maths. By using different techniques, they have been able to find all possible answers and explain how they found them out!

Children in Year 5 were lucky enough today to meet children's author, Sam Hay.

Sam’s favourite story themes include; magic, zombies and crazy animal adventures. She takes inspiration from her fantastic family and fun team of pets including; Martin the (scaredy) cat, Fluffy and Todd the (cute as custard) rabbits, and Goldie the (enormous) fish.

She’s had around 30 books published including the Undead Pets series about zombie animals and Screaming Sands, a ghostly trilogy set at the seaside.
